The investigation identified a suspected Command and Control (C2) environment associated with targeted data collection activities affecting multiple organizations in Mexico. The recovered evidence indicates that the environment was used to support automated information extraction, remote access operations, and the transfer of collected data to external storage infrastructure.
Five organizations or target environments were identified in the recovered artifacts: Mexican Telecommunications Provider A, Mexican Telecommunications Provider B, Mexican Insurance Provider, the Mexican Government Entity, and Mexican University. The strongest evidence of completed collection activity relates to Mexican Telecommunications Provider A, Mexican Telecommunications Provider B, and Mexican Insurance Provider, where execution logs reported successful extraction and synchronization operations. Activity involving the remaining environments requires further validation to establish the extent of access and potential data exposure.
